James D. Watson

Well, we went prospecting down to the FC and struck gold!  The gold was in the form of an amicus brief filed on behalf of James D. Watson.  Yes, that James Watson, first named of the Nobel winning team of Watson and Crick.  This brief is a "must read" in the gene patenting debate.  We are in the process of obtaining an e-copy and will post it when it comes through the inter-web tubes.  We quote:

"BECAUSE HUMAN GENES ARE UNIQUE AND CONVEY
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ESSENCE OF BEING HUMAN,
THEY SHOULD NOT BE PATENTED"

Keep tuned for the whole brief.
