Reading several of the blogs
http://www.patentlyo.com/patent/2012/11/supreme-court-has-granted-cert-in-the-myriad-case-question-are-human-genes-patentable.html
and
http://www.patentdocs.org/
we see that certiorari has been granted by the U S Supreme Court in the Myriad case today. The petition was limited to the issue: "Are human genes patentable?"
A decision is expected in the spring.
